Returns and Refunds for Permisoft Marketplace Purchases

Last updated: June 11, 2026

This Refund Policy explains when and how buyers may receive refunds for software licenses purchased through Permisoft, operated by Ceerf LLC. Software on Permisoft is generally sold as perpetual, one-time purchase licenses delivered via license keys and downloadable installers. Because digital licenses can be copied once revealed, our refund rules balance customer fairness with fraud prevention and publisher protection. This policy supplements our Terms of Service. Nothing in this policy limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

1. Overview and Guiding Principles

We want you to shop confidently on Permisoft. If a purchase does not work out and you have not consumed the license by activating it, you may qualify for a refund within the window described below.

Refunds are processed through Stripe to the original payment method where possible. Platform operations are funded in part by a 5% platform fee on publisher sales; refunds reverse the transaction in accordance with Stripe and publisher payout mechanics.

This policy applies to purchases made directly on Permisoft. Purchases made through unauthorized resellers are not eligible for refunds from Ceerf LLC.

2. Fourteen-Day Refund Window

For most individual software licenses, you may request a full refund within fourteen (14) calendar days of the original purchase transaction date shown in your order confirmation, provided the license key has not been activated and the software has not been downloaded in a manner that indicates consumption beyond reasonable inspection, as determined by our records.

The fourteen-day period begins on the purchase date in UTC unless otherwise stated in your receipt. Requests received after this window are generally denied except where required by law or expressly approved at our discretion for extraordinary platform errors.

We may extend the window for specific promotions or products; any extension will be stated on the product page or checkout screen.

  • The window applies per order line item for separately licensed products.
  • Preorder or early-access products may specify different refund timing on the product page.
  • Gift purchases may be refundable only to the original purchaser unless required otherwise by law.

3. Unused and Unactivated License Requirement

To qualify for a standard refund, your license key must remain unactivated according to Permisoft activation logs, and you must not have used the key to enable full commercial or personal use of the software beyond what is reasonably necessary to evaluate compatibility.

If you activated the software, registered the key with the publisher, or exceeded installation limits, we presume the license has been consumed and a standard refund is not available.

If technical issues prevent activation despite good-faith attempts, contact support@ceerf.com promptly within the refund window. We may offer troubleshooting, replacement keys, or a refund where the product is materially nonfunctional at delivery and the publisher cannot timely remedy the issue.

  • Opening a license key display alone does not necessarily constitute activation; activating on a device does.
  • Attempting to activate, deactivating, and re-requesting refunds repeatedly may be treated as abuse.
  • Keep screenshots or error messages when requesting refunds based on technical failure.

4. No Refund After Activation (Except Where Law Requires)

Once a license key is activated, refunds are generally not available because the digital good has been delivered and cannot be returned in the same way as physical merchandise. This aligns with common marketplace practice for software license keys and helps prevent fraud.

Mandatory consumer protection laws in some jurisdictions may grant withdrawal or refund rights for digital content even after download or activation, particularly where required notices and consents were not provided. Nothing in this policy waives those non-waivable rights.

If you believe a mandatory legal right applies to your purchase, explain your jurisdiction and basis when contacting support. We will review requests consistent with applicable law.

5. How to Request a Refund

Submit refund requests to support@ceerf.com from the email address associated with your Permisoft account. Include your order number, product name, purchase date, and a brief explanation.

We may ask clarifying questions or request confirmation that the license remains unactivated. Fraud prevention checks may delay processing.

Approved refunds are initiated through Stripe to the original payment method. You will receive email confirmation when the refund is processed on our side; your bank or card issuer may require additional days to post the credit.

  • Refunds are not available to alternate payment methods except where required by law or processor rules.
  • Partial refunds require a distinct basis such as partial bundle consumption described in Section 7.
  • Account suspension for abuse may pause refund processing pending investigation.

6. Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be issued when only a portion of a purchase is eligible—for example, if one item in a multi-license order remains unactivated while another was activated in error due to a documented platform defect.

Partial refunds may also be considered when a promotional coupon or tax calculation error caused a measurable overcharge, or when we terminate access to a specific product for policy reasons unrelated to your conduct.

The amount of a partial refund will reflect the unused, unactivated portion of the transaction net of discounts allocated proportionally.

7. Bundles, Suites, and Multi-Product Orders

Bundles and suites combine multiple licenses or products at a combined price. Refund eligibility is evaluated per component where keys are separable. If any component in a bundle has been activated, the entire bundle may be ineligible for a full refund unless a partial refund is appropriate under Section 6.

Where a bundle price includes a non-refundable component clearly labeled at checkout—such as a charitable donation or third-party service voucher—that component may be excluded from refundable amounts.

Product pages may specify stricter bundle rules; those disclosures prevail where clearly stated before purchase.

  • Breaking a bundle by activating only one included product may still count as consumption of the bundle offer.
  • Upgrade paths from a standalone product to a suite may be treated as new transactions with their own refund windows.
  • Contact support before activating if you are unsure which bundle component you need.

8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Please contact support@ceerf.com before filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks impose significant costs, may result in immediate license revocation, and can lead to permanent account suspension if filed without first allowing us to resolve the issue.

We provide Stripe and card networks with transaction records, activation logs, and communications to respond to disputes. Fraudulent chargebacks may be referred to collections or law enforcement where appropriate.

If a chargeback is decided in your favor, access to associated licenses may be revoked. If decided in our favor, you remain responsible for the purchase amount and may lose marketplace access.

9. European Union and United Kingdom Consumer Rights

Consumers in the European Union and United Kingdom may have statutory rights of withdrawal for distance contracts, including purchases of digital content, subject to local implementation of consumer protection directives and regulations.

Where applicable law requires, we will provide pre-contract information and obtain express consent acknowledging that performance begins before the withdrawal period ends when you request immediate delivery of digital content. If such consent was not properly obtained where required, withdrawal rights may still apply.

EU/UK consumers may contact support@ceerf.com with jurisdiction details. We honor mandatory withdrawal and refund obligations regardless of the general fourteen-day unactivated policy where those obligations apply and cannot be validly waived.

  • Local consumer authorities can provide guidance on non-waivable rights.
  • Mandatory rights may entitle you to remedies beyond this policy.
  • This section does not constitute legal advice about your specific situation.

10. Abuse, Fraud, and Policy Enforcement

We deny refunds where we reasonably suspect fraud, stolen payment methods, systematic "buy-activate-refund" abuse, key laundering, or attempts to obtain software without payment.

Indicators include abnormal refund velocity, mismatched billing profiles, VPN obfuscation coupled with chargebacks, and activation followed by immediate refund demands without support contact.

Enforcement actions may include denial of refund, license revocation, account termination, and cooperation with Stripe risk programs.

11. Processing Time and Stripe Mechanics

After approval, we initiate refunds through Stripe typically within five (5) business days. Stripe and your financial institution control posting times; credits may appear within five to ten (5–10) business days or longer depending on banks and card networks.

Refunds are issued in the transaction currency where possible. Currency conversion differences and foreign transaction fees charged by your bank are not controlled by Ceerf LLC and may not be refundable.

Publisher payouts associated with refunded sales are reversed or adjusted through Stripe Connect in accordance with our Publisher Agreement.

Refunds on Permisoft are administered by Ceerf LLC in cooperation with Stripe payment processing.
