Quality & safety guidelines

Permisoft exists so buyers can trust perpetual desktop software. These rules mirror what curated app stores expect: safe binaries, honest positioning, and real utility.

Perpetual ownership only

  • No required subscriptions, SaaS-only access, or recurring fees to use core features.
  • Updates may be paid separately, but the purchased version must remain usable offline.

Safe for customers

  • No malware, cryptominers, or deceptive installers.
  • Clear privacy policy if you collect data; no hidden telemetry.
  • Binaries distributed only through Permisoft after approval—not direct vendor download links on the store.

Genuinely useful software

  • A clear problem solved for a real audience—documented in your submission.
  • Stable demo build: installs, launches, and demonstrates core value.
  • We decline template reskins, placeholder UIs, and mass-produced “AI slop” with no distinct utility.

Desktop-first

  • Native or Electron/Tauri desktop apps for Windows and/or macOS (Linux optional).
  • Single-machine licence activation via Permisoft keys (see Integration guide).

What we look for in review

Usability

  • Installs cleanly on supported OS
  • Core workflow works without crashes
  • UI is intentional—not a generic template

Usefulness

  • Clear audience and problem solved
  • Differentiated from throwaway AI-generated apps
  • Documentation or onboarding in-app

Security

  • Passes malware scan
  • No undisclosed miners or botnets
  • Network use explained in privacy docs

Policy

  • Perpetual licence model
  • Hosted on Permisoft after launch
  • Accurate screenshots from your build

Common rejection reasons

  • Subscription or rental model detected
  • Security scan failed or suspicious behaviour
  • Demo build unstable or non-functional
  • Insufficient quality or unclear value proposition
  • Does not meet perpetual licence requirements
  • Refused platform-hosted distribution

You may resubmit after fixing issues. Repeated low-quality submissions may result in a permanent ban from the publisher program.
